STUDY AND EXAM REQUIREMENTS IN BIOCHEMISTRY
2011/12 YEAR 2nd SEMESTER FACULTY OF PHARMACY According to the Study and Exam Regulations of the University of Szeged (2006) The requirements of the Institute, tematics, topic lists and several educational information will be available on the following website: WWW.BIOCHEM.SZOTE.U-SZEGED.HU
Study requirements and checking knowledge Attendance of lectures (GYTKA-171) is obligatory (see enclosed schedule of lectures). Lecture will be accepted with the end-semester-exam. Recommended textbooks: Harper's Illustrated Biochemistry (26th Edition, Lange), Lippincott's Biochemistry (4th edition, Wolter Kluwer) During the semester, two MTOs can be taken. The MTOs will be in written form (test questions and chemical structures). Test questions to practice, will be available on the website of the Institute. In case of good results of the MTOs (average above 75%), students may have chance to get very good (5) or good (4) as end semester exam mark. Exam requirements Those students, who did not get the exemption, have to take a written end-semester-exam (obligatory for all students at the same time). Preparation is to be done according to the theoretical topic list. In case of unsuccessful written exam, repeated exam can be taken in oral form (2nd and 3rd exam). Those students, whose MTO result (average) is under 50%, must chose an extra structure topic besides the theoretical topics. Students have to sign up for the exam at the ETR. Site of the exam is the Faculty of Pharmacy, start is at 8 am.
